Mixing brands and "sizes" can cause stability issues?

I have currently 2x4gb sticks of Corsair DDR3 1333Mhz ram on dual channel, the cheapest i could find. It was good enough until some time ago, when i bought a stronger GPU, and started to play everything on ultra settings. Now i have been experiencing crashes on GTA V and rainbow six siege, windows tell me there is not enough system memory to handle these, and shuts down the game.

Because of that, i'm looking into buying a new stick, a Kingston HyperX FURY 8gb 1333Mhz, so i can have 16gb total. But i most certainly don't wanna do that and get stability issues because of the "mixing" of sticks.

Will i run into problems with this setup? My other corsair sticks will continue to operate in dual channel?

Thanks for the help

Never mix RAM, even if it is the same brand, the same size, the same bandwidth (speed), you could run into issues for simply having a different series Memory (ex.: 8GB GSkill sniper and 8GB GSkill RipJaws)
