Mixing ram and stuff

Corsair Vengeance LPX - DDR4 - 8 GB - DIMM 288-PIN - 2400

I have 1 Vengeance LED, making me have a total of 8gb. I want to have the beautiful 16gb. Please tell me if it will work together

Note: My CPU can only run 2133, but my MOBO can run 3000.

It may work. Or, it may not work. Even if it works, the vengeance RAM will come down to 2400 MHz in dual channel. Its always better to buy the 2 sticks together. Next best is to buy the exact same RAM for better compatibility.

Call it in the air. Heads or Tails?
the RAM will only go as fast as the slowest module.

never know till you try AND test the RAM.
run the RAM overnight or for three passes with memtest86.
if you get no errors the RAM is good.
