Okay, now I know the Forums are full of this but I am still not sure after scouting.

Basically I only have one stick of DDR 3 8GB RAM 1333Mhz. I am looking to add another 8GB RAM Stick but because current stick is so old, I can not find matching CAS speeds?

Currentley my system is as follow

UP7 Z77X Gigabyte Mobo
I7 3770K
GTX 1070 8GB
8GB DDR3 1333Mhz Ram

My current 1333MHz 8GB DDR3 RAM CAS speeds are as follow: 9, 9, 9, 24

I am looking at getting this stick of 1600MHz 8GB DDR3 RAM
https://www.takealot.com/kingston-valueram-memory-ddr3-1600-8gb-dimm/PLID29400641

Would I be running into compatibility issues? Or can I just use my BIOS to downclock the new stick to match the current stick?

I read that users just stick sticks in and it works, others says it does not. I am really on the fence with this and am not looking to purchase 2 sticks all over again of the same type when I can just add an extra one.

It's somewhat of a crap-shoot, you can never be sure if and how it will work. DDR3 is pretty forgiving and most end up with both memories running at speeds of the slower one.
