Mixing Single and Dual Channel DDR4 RAM

I have 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Single-Channel RAM. I really want to upgrade and was wondering if i could mix the Single-Channel i currently have with a Dual-Channel RAM running on same frequency.

Mix and match RAM is always a gamble. It is better to purchase a two DIMM matched set and sell the single DIMM you currently have.
