Hi all, I am trying to use my original RAM: https://www.newegg.com/ballistix-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820164205?Item=N82E16820164205
With this one: https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-32gb-ddr4-3600/p/N82E16820232920?Item=N82E16820232920

My bios was initially set to XMP 2 at 1.35V for both of them to run at 3600mhz. When I use just each set, I get that speed. But when I combined them together, my PC failed to boot a couple of times until I think UEFI automatically reset my bios and now my ram is reporting:

2133mhz at 16:16:16:36 CAS

How can I all 4 sticks to run at 3600mhz? Is that even possible? I'd love to use 48GB but I guess I can always settle for 32GB. I just figured there's not much of a profit to be had trying to sell 3600 mhz 16GB DDR4 Ram
My motherboard is a z490 Taichi

Might not just be the mixed kits (which is not advised as said).

Maxing out the DIMMs puts additional stress on the IMC.
Even with matched pairs you might have to dial them back a bit vs the rated frequency.

Try just running the new 32GB kit you bought, should be fine, but if not make sure it's on your board's QVL.

"Mixing Two Different Ram Kits Gives Me Low Ram Speed"

Correct!

Buy a matched set.

Why do you need 48gb of RAM?
I don't NEED it. I want it/wanted to see if I could. I doubt I'd get much for 16GB DDR4 CL16 Ram on ebay so I was like why not try to use it then for max ram lol

Yeah just the 32GB works fine but I want MOAR. I know I shouldn't *insert Anakin meme*

I lowered two timings (I don't even know what they mean or remember their names) and This is what I have now. How much perf am I losing with these timings?

To do the best you can:
1. Install the 32gb kit with one stick in each channel.
2. You will have to experiment/fiddle with the settings in the bios.
Start with default speeds and timings. Set the voltage nigher than the specified 1.35v. Perhaps 1.4v
Test.
3. If all ok, try the second pair in the other channels.
If it boots, run memtest.
It boots from a usb stick and does not use windows.

You should be able to complete a full pass with NO errors.

4. The fiddling comes in where you may need to lower speed/increase timings or even voltage to get it to run properly.
