Mixing vengence and sniper

i need some opinion on choosing ram
i already have 1x4GB ddr3 corsair vengence 1600mhz cl9 (xmp) ram
and now i want to install another 4GB of ram
so i found same vengence for ~$35 (Rs1700-1800)
ripjaws x also costs same as vengence
but i also found that g.skill sniper equavalent costs ~$31 (~Rs1570)
so i am leaning towards sniper

so i will be using 1x4GB vengence + 1x4GB sniper
so the main question is,
1. is there any known issues between sniper and vengence or someone who already used them without any issue ?
2. and how much i can overclock this sniper ram on my system , though my vengence is not overclock friendly, can i expect atleast same overclocking from sniper as of vengence?

my system
AMD phenom 2 1090t
1x4GB corsair vengence 1600mhz cl9 1.5v (can run at either 8-9-9-24-1t @1600mhz @1.6v or 9-9-9-24-1t @1.6v @1666mhz)
gigabyte GA-880GM-D2H rev3.1
1 ram slot is free

yes you can mix ram. the faster ram will downclock itself to the slower ram for compability. yes you can still overclock ram just not as freely..i had one 1600mhz 4gb stick and 1333mhz 4gb stick and i could get them both to work at 1600 but not higher.

when i found that mine current vengence is not so overclock 🙁 friendly then i thought that i should have opt for 1333mhz value ram and clock them higher to get more out of them

btw the vengence stick i have now is 1600mhz and i ordered another 1600mhz sniper
so running them at same clock may not trouble

but i read some rumors that asus's products have some issues with corsair etc...

so is there any issue with g.skill and corsair and gigabyte ?

just got the sniper, both working normally

just for comparision
here are the xmp settings of these rams
vengence 1600mhz 9-9-9-24-41-2t @1.5v
sniper 1600mhz 9-9-9-25-33-2t @1.5v
and jedec settings for 1333mhz are
vengence 9-9-9-24-34-2t @1.5v
sniper 9-9-9-24-33-2t @1.5v

so it looks like that sniper is having edge as it got tighter settings and smaller heatsink

and advice for those who are looking for ram to pair them with their amd phenom 2 cpus
-> buying rams of above 1333mhz for these cpus is waste of money as these cpus only show very little gains in memory bandwidth (that too with 50% overclocked nb)
-> go for lower latency ram for these cpus . for example, 1333mhz cl7 is better buy than 1600mhz cl9 for these (amd am3 phenom/athlon 2) cpus
