I upgraded from MMC 9.0 to 9.1 on an AIW Radeon 8500DV, and after
rebooting, the ATIMMC Setup dialog and staus bar appears, disappears, then
I get an error message: "RegDBCreateKeyEx failed". I uninstalled MMC 9.1
and downgraded back to MMC 9.0 and the message still pops up. Trying to
start up any MMC app doesn't do anything. Going to the System Compatibility
Checker in MMC brings it up, but does not show any of the applications
instaleld and teh "Run Tets" button is greyed out.

I tried uninstalling, repairing, re-installing...both version and they all
come up with the error. Even uninstalled every piece of ATI software,
including the Catalyst drivers and reinstalled everything abck and still
the same problem.

Anybody have an idea how to correct this? Thanks.

driver cleaner.
and dude, when it comes to ati, newer is not always better.. stick with
what works, cause whats new always seems to break something, at least
wait a month till the feedback in here starts rolling in before
upgrading.
