MMORPG for dialup?

Howdy all, quick question.

I have a 2.4G P4, with 1gig RAM, a Nvidia GoForce4 420Go 32MB card, and a
dialup connection...

Which (good) MMORPGs would work on my system? I'm currently playing "Guild
Wars" (and yes, I know it's not a "proper MMORPG" but I'm enjoying it thus
far, so no flame please), and that works fine on my system...

Anything else worth playing out there?

a Nvidia GoForce4 420Go 32MB card,

this will kill ya more than the dialup will. Diablo 2 will play just fine
on dialup, but if you want to play anything that is less than a year old
you need to upgrade your vid card to at least a 64 meg and 128 is better. I
am running diablo2 on a uberdsl connection and I get lag not from my
connection, but from my vid card cuz I am only running a 64 meg card on a
good gaming system.

If you want to go cheap, Runescape runs just fine on a dialup
connection...

I played Star Wars Galaxies on dialup with no problems.

Just about every MMORPG will play just fine on dialup. WoW, EQ, DAoC
(not sure about EQ2 though), but your big problem is going to be the
32MB video card. Very few modern games will run on only 32MB of video
RAM.

Maybe even a bigger problem than the vid card is downloading the updates,
especially WoW's.

EQ2 does theirs in fairly small increments most of the time, seems like, but
it's going to take a big ol' bite to get started with any of them.

To be honest I don't know too much about the insides of a laptop... and
unfortunately that's what I've got. Are Sony VAIO laptops upgradable
graphic-card wise?

Hmmm, EQ2 equires a 64mb card minimum anyways...

Guild Wars runs fine on my system - but from the replies I guess for a 3D
online game this is probably the ONLY one that would work properly for me...
oh well, thanks for the responses anyways...

Older ones like Anarchy Online, Dark Age Of Camalot and the original
Everquest should work. Sega have just release the beta for PC version
of Phantasy Star Online, an old Dreamcast online game. Not really a
mmorpg but it will run on your laptop.

Heck, the original installment of Anarchy Online is even free to play until
early 2006 (as long as you don't buy any of the expansions). Though,
downloading the installer over dialup would be more trouble than it's worth
(hence making it a moot point, I guess).

But still. Free.

Lineage II works great on dailup too, although the chronicle updates might
be a pain in the ass :)
