Mobility is set to be a huge theme this year at IDF. Just like at Computex (we’re still recovering from the barrage of netbooks and nettops we saw in Taiwan), Intel has promised us a decent amount of mobile content.

Haha ... I thought "mobile madness" referred to mobile phones, as we call them down under! Silly me. Mind you ... "cell madness" sounds rather ominous too, like "padded cell madness"!!

I still hope the 'one in all'-chip will be invented for UMPCs or ultra mobile laptop and netbooks.

CPU (HT or 2Core),GPU (enough for HD 720pix playback),Bridge, memory controller, all in one would be the most energy efficient chip for the mobile industry! (they say about 20W TDP)
Pair that with a 5800mAh battery and a 1280x960 9" screen, keyb, 3 usb slots, DVI, LAN, WLAN -N, basic sound card, internal 1,3MPIX cam, a mic, touchscreen and a 32GB SLC SSD, 1x2GB DDR2 ram @800Mhz internal with extension slot for another SODIMM DDR2 stick; for less then 699$ and you have the perfect netbook!
