I'm working on installing new components, including an MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon, mobo which has an 8 pin AND a 4 pin for CPU power. I want to make sure of the following..

Motherboard CPU Power Image

My old motherboard only has a 4 pin for CPU power, but I previously upgraded the PSU to a Corsair CX750M and the 4 pin is a 4+4 pin.

The other cable I have is a 6+2 marked 'PCIe.'

Do I need a different PSU or can the 6+2 PCIe plug into the 8 pin CPU power?

Solution
You'd use the 4+4 pin cable for the 8 pin CPU power and leave the 4 pin one not connected. The 6+2 one is for graphics card.

But the motherboard has an 8 pin for CPU power and a 4 pin for CPU power. I just noticed I wrote that incorrectly, there's only one spot on the PSU for CPU power. The label on the PSU I mentioned is for top plug, bottom plug.

Thre only 8 pin cable included with the PSU is the 6+2 marked PCIe.
