Hi guys.
Im looking for personal experience about configs.
My budget is around 400$ for a good MOBO and CPU next to my Gigabyte GTX 970.
Intel or AMD? Never know.. RN i have an FX 8320 and an ASRock 970 Extr.3 R2.0
Only want to do gaming without lags and freezes. What do you guys have that works the best?
Thank you guys in advance!

Solution
The biggest trick here is making sur the MoBo manufacturer doesn't stick you witha substandard audio subsystem. Asis started the trend with the Z170 boards where almost every board under $150 has ALC 887 or ALC892 instead of ALC 1150. With Z270, seems everybody else jumped on that bandwagon.

This is what we recommend as a minimum

Motherboard: MSI - Z270 SLI PLUS ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($133.88 @ OutletPC)
Total: $361.76

here's a review of the previous generation board... the Z270 plays the same role in setting the standard in this price range. Other boards id look at:

Again, w/ Z270... avoid anything w/o ALC 1220

Solution
for cheap combo go with G4560 and cheap motherboard... best bang for bucks... and can upgrade to future i5/i7 coffee lake....
or go with ryzen 1600 with motherboard... more futureproof... but for 970gtx, I stick with g4560

That did not help at all, im sorry..

Thank you! Ill have a look at it. Have you ever had these? Im just asking cuz i need someone with these things who actually tried them out

I honestly disagree with the importance of the audio codec. The general consensus is that the codec doesn't matter unless you are an audiophile with accompany headphones. As for the motherboard and CPU, I am right now running an ageing 3rd generation intel motherboard and CPU (i5 3470), however one of my friends is running a R5 1600 with a B350m mortar from AMD, which is running well (he has not overclocked). That is the combo I would suggest. If you do not have a CPU cooler then spend the excess money on that, or save it.
