Mobo/BIOS doesn't see PWM hub

Hi, I have a Be Quiet! Dark Base Pro 900 PC case (which has a PWM hub) and an MSI X99A SLI PLUS mobo. The hub has a "4-Pin PWM Connector to M/B" which I tried to connect to both CPUFAN1 and SYSFAN1 (not simultaneously, obviously 😛). But in both cases the mobo/bios doesn't see it being connected (my UEFI has a "Hardware explorer" or sth like that and it shows me all devices connected to all ports on mobo). The fans spin but I cannot control that speed (since they're not seen). When I try plugging any of the case fans (which are now connected to the PWM hub) to a SYSFAN1 the mobo/bios sees it and I can control it.

Did I do something wrong? How can I make my mobo/bios see the hub and control the fans connected to it?

like the same says (PWM HUB) the motherboard will see only one PWM "FAN" not 4 or 8 individual fans you only will be able to controll one speed and that speed is for the PWM 1 on the HUB, and all the other PWM connectors will have the same speed
unless the PWM hub have a USB connector for software management

Yeah, I know I can't control the speeds of each fan separately. But what do you mean with PWM 1 on the HUB? That I will be able to control the fan connected to the first port on the hub and the others will have a static non-controllable speed? I think the whole point of hub is to be able to set the same speed for all of fans (and I even think the PC case's manual says something of the sorts).

plut one fan in the PWM1 (or FAN1) port of the hub, then plug the hub on a PWM connector on the motherboard, and on the bios you shoud be able to see a fan on that PWM connector on the motherboard.

Just tried that and unfortunately it didn't work. Actually, my hub has ports FAN1 - FAN4 for 3-pin fans and FAN5 - FAN8 for 4-pin fans. So I tried connecting the single fan to both FAN1 and FAN5 but in both cases the hub wasn't detected in bios. Also - by "PWM connector on the motherboard" you mean SYSFAN1 (4-pin port for attaching fan)?

Automatic. This case has a slider which has 2 modes:
- when it's slided maximally to the left - it's automatic
- otherwise it's controlling the speed manually (btw this works nicely)
But I should be able to change between automatic and manual so I'm pretty sure the mobo should detect the hub regardless of the slider's position.

Ken_53, you mean you also have a Dark Base Pro 900 case? If so then either it's a coincidence or my case isn't faulty after all (which would actually make me feel better). But that still leaves us with the question - why isn't it working?

I have tried again to plug in to CPU fan hub and it works now. System fan hub has no Pwm function.

To clarify, you mean that you tried connecting your PC case's hub to a SYSFAN port on your mobo which didn't work but when you connected it to a CPUFAN port it worked, yes? I'll check that on my mobo first thing when I get home today.
