I have a couple motherboard questions today. I plan on upgrading to this :http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131981 I have an i5-3570K and just want to make sure that this will be compatible. Also, if I get a new motherboard do I need to get a new OS? Is it possible to use the same key on m y current PC? And is so, how do I retrieve it? Also, is this crossfire ready? Because it looks like it I just want to be sure.

Thanks.

No, you need an LGA 1155 motherboard. Something like this should be fine - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157293&cm_re=lga_1155-_-13-157-293-_-Product

As for the OS, you will need to reinstall Windows if you want full functionality. If you're using a personal copy of Windows (i.e. you bought the installation disks from a store) you can usually reuse the disk and the product key.

However, if you have an OEM version (that came with a prebuilt) you need to buy a new copy of Windows.

Thanks for that valuable info. Unfortunately that one is out of stock. Is it possible there is another one like that that is around the same price? Possibly this? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157304&cm_re=LGA_1155-_-13-157-304-_-Product
