Mobo doesn't fit properly in Antec P180?

I just bought a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L and upon fitting it into my P180 (a couple years old), I found that the permanent standoffs in the case don't really match with the Mobo. There are a couple standoffs where there are not holes in the mobo and then one hole in the mobo where there is no place to screw a standoff into the case.

Do I need to buy a new case? Like I said, it is a couple years old and I'm wondering if its just because the standards have changed or what.

Is it safe to set the motherboard on top of the standoffs where there is not actually a hole to screw it in? I really don't want to have to fork out another $100 to buy a decent case but I don't want to damage the motherboard either. Thanks.

DO NOT MOUNT THE MOBO IF THERE ARE STANDOFFS TOUCHING THE UNDERSIDE OF THE BOARD!!!

This is all bad could short something and screw it all up.

I think youll find these standoffs can be taken off, i have a P180 and ive changed board twice now and no issue with taking some off and adding others. Get a pair of pliers grip the buggers and turn em
