For some reason this thread was posted in the wrong sub category, but

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good mobo for my build. I need it to be somewhat budgeted. The components I have picked are as follows:

1) Sandy Bridge i5-2500k
2)XFX HD-685X-ZCFC Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
3)G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Low Voltage Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9Q-16GBXM
4) I am unsure about a PSU and Case as well so if any one has suggestions throw them at me

I have to have the 16 Gb of mem because I need it to run a program for my research. Other then that I am open to any suggestions

Tweak it.

SSD - W7 + all the programs + page file

HDD - partition 1 @60GB - photos, project and other files up to 5MB + Document folder
HDD - partition 2 @100GB - music, and other files up to 30MB/per file.
HDD - partition 3 @ whats left for files 30MB> videos and other files

To have a partitions, is to separate the system from the Doc. files, so in the case of corruption on the system drive, u don't loose the files, so that's the main reason to partition.

If u separate the small files from large ones, the fragmentation is small and it is easy to keep it de-fragmented.

Move Your Libraries off of the system drive...

I saw a comparison page on one of the articles on this site and it rated it about midspeed, so I figured for the price I really couldn't pass it up

Always do a clean install on the SSD (than install all the drivers, than the updates and than the back up)+ in the AHCI mode.

Don't create the first back image with AV up with.
