Hi guys, really could use some help now.. :/

I just assembled my new rig,

i5-4670k
asus maximus vi hero
4 x 4gb corsair vengeance pro 1600mhz cl9
gtx 780ti
cooler master tx3 evo
samsung evo 120gb
seagate 2tb
nzxt hue
samsung dvd/rw
seasonic 1000W platinum

So I got it up and running and was halfway through installing windows 8 so i left the computer for awhile.
Suddenly, the power to my whole house shut down and now, my mobo LEDs won't even light up when the psu is on.

I've tried removing the GPU, using a single stick of ram.
Nothing is working though.

Would it be my motherboard is fried or is it my PSU?
I don't have any spare PSUs to check though.. is there a way?

P.S. I don't smell anything burning, the capacitors on the motherboard looks fine still.

The outage could have fried the psu..so first connect a device to the psu like a dvd writer and check if it powers on..if it does its mobo problem. Until you have ascertained what fault it is..dont connect mobo to psu..cuz even if mobo is fine..fried psu will wreck it

I just tried connecting the PSU to DVD only. Tried opening/closing the DVD but nothing happened.

So its the PSU at fault then?

Shit, I tried connecting everything again and tried to turn on my MOBO but nothing happened. The MOBO should be fine right? :O

Asus mobo chill 😛 power outages can even #&*@ the circuitry and you may get low voltages in some places of the house.. Check if the psu powers on in other places where heavy electronics such as tv operate fine. If it doesn't call seasonic customer care and shoooouuuuttt!!! P.S 1000w platinum? I pray you got warranty 😛

Yeah, TV works fine, the other computer works fine too.

Yeah, I think I'm under warranty haha, just got the unit yesterday.

Damn it, and I was happy for the 15mins of installing windows. Time to dismantle and get a new one.
ROAR.

Thanks for the help! :)
