[SOLVED] Mobo has standby power but isn’t fully powering on

Hi there. I just finished rebuilding my Dancase a4 build, just changing out the cpu cooler and gpu. I have everything in the case and all the cables in. When I turn the psu on I get a standby power light on the mobo, but if I press the power switch, it turns on for half a moment and then turns back off again. What could be causing this?

bad power supply. i remember years ago i had a pc doing the same problem and the power supply <Mod Edit> out and killed the mother board. and my dad's PC was just doing this 3 weeks ago and i replaced the power supply and powered up with zero issues.

The thing is is that my psu is basically brand new. Bought it straight from evga and it worked fine for 2 weeks

if you have a spare one kicking around id try it just to be sure
