mobo LAN not communicating properly with new Comcast modem

So, I just upgraded comcast to X1. The tech noticed I had an older internet modem and gave us the TG1682G dual-band wifi 802.11ac modem. My internet speeds on my desktop pc dropped from the 200mbps I was getting to less than 10mbps. After all the troubleshooting, I've found that it has something to do with how my mobo's LAN adapter communicates with that modem. My laptop when wired directly to the new modem gets over 200mbps, and wifi on laptop and phone gets right around the 200mbps mark as well. I daisy chained a router to the modem and plugged my pc's ethernet cable into that instead, now I'm getting almost 100mbps. I'm running win10 on an ASRock Z97 Extreme 4 mobo. Any suggestions on how to solve this issue without the workaround, daisey-chained router?

Thanks for any advice.

Solved! Turns out it was the XFast LAN cfos software from ASRock. Not sure why it bottlenecks with the new modem but not the old, nor the daisy chained router. /shrug
