Mobo / PSU problem ? Please help

Hello.
I keep having a problem with my 2 years old Pc.
My system powers up ( fans spinning ) but the monitor won't turn on.After i turn the pc off,after 2 sec he turns itself on and the cycle repeats.
I have tried pretty much anything the internet have said.Ive checked cables,pulled out the cmos battery,plugged the monitor into the mobo vga slot,anything....
The thing is that after a few hours/a day everything comss back to normal.I am not sure if its just concidence,but after i plugged out the power cable,holded down the powdf button for almost a minute and then letting the pc "rest",in like 4 hours it was working again.(if i do the power button drainage thing and try to power it up instantly its not working).
So yea,after the things ive noticed what do gou guys think it can be?
It is between mobo and psu ive heared.
Ps : i get no beeps even with no ram in. I dont think the mobo have a speaker.

Due to the fact the CX600 is a poor quality power supply , I'd start there

Can that be the problem?Ths system worked flawless for the past 2 years with no problems.I was expecting the motherboard to be the problem.
I was thinking at a 80 plus gold from corsair as a powef supply.any ideas?

The MoBo would have a connector for a speaker... you'd have to buy one. Tho LEDs and LCD panels are the typical troubleshooting features on all but budget boards. I don't think I have had a PC in here w/ a speaker sin this millenium.

Of course having a spare PSU, or borrowing one is solid troubleshooting approach. If problem disappears, you found the cause.

The issue could be that something is getting hot and causing a problem .... or something is "holding a charge" and causing a problem. This was an issue that was common with SCSI storage where a crash could not be recovered from until power was disconnected for a period.

I have also had problems associated with BIOS issues whereby a BIOS reload / update / reset settings to default solved the problem but your 4 hour recovery seems to suggest this is not the issue.

Again, best bet would be to borrow a PSU and see how you do before going further.

RMX 550W from Corsair is a great one or the EVGA G2 550W.

I think your PSU is the issue.

Now if i start and think better i guess it could be the psu yea.I mean if the mobo was faulty i dont think she could keep "fixing" itself and sometimes works and some other times not right?
But can a faulty Psu make only certain spots from the motherboard to power up? Since fans are working.
But from the things ive listed its most likely psu.if i buy a new one and the problem persists it could be the mobo then?i dont think anything else could be right?

The C in CX might as well stand for "crappy caps"

Still, while the PSU has been the prime suspect from the get go, I'd try and test before buying . The CX while unsuited for a enthusiast or serious gamer's box is certainly enough for an office box and should have been able to handle a 760. 500 watts is fine, tho if into heavy over clockling might wanna bump it up a notch.

Btw,not sure if this is gonna change anything BUT when the pc was starting to work alone again,first time it was just not working like usually,fans spinning no monitor etc , and after 10 seconds,the pc was restarting ALONE and THEN it was going back to normal.

The only psu i have around its like 500w no name quality from a really low budget pc.i dont even think it have the cables to power up my gpu.

PSS: two weeks ago there was a power outage in my neigbourhood.when power came back up,pc was not working,same sympthoms.he came back to normal next morning.
