Hi guys,
If you would kindly explain what is goin on in my case... short story new GPU, new PSU.
Pc keeps shutting down just before entering desktop. (bios, loading screen work fine)
Also while installing driver and AMD Catalyst version for win 8.1 for my new GPU, at the first flicker it goes blackscreen and shuts down. Had to switch to onboard graphics since my new GPU appears to have some compatibility issues with the motherboard.
Checked the GPU at a friend, different motherboard, worked fine at ultra in games for several minutes.
Facts: my mobo is sata 2, pcie 2
GPu is pcie 3, but still it should work
The GPU leds work fine and it is powered by my PSU just fine
I can install the Catalyst to the end just fine if i dont have pci-e enabled from bios. When i have my gpu enabled it shuts down at first flicker.
My Bios i think is the latest flash version.
Is there no other option than replacing my mobo to one that has pci-e 3.0?
Might it be the bit version of driver vs bit version of windows? Even though i have 64 and chose the correct driver?
