I have a 755-A2 socket 754 with a AMD Athlon 64 2800, 1 GB DDR
PC-2700 333 Mhz, GForce Fx 5200 8x 128 Mb AGP card. This combo ran
fine untill I dropped a tree into the powerline to the house (long
story), I replaced both the MoBo and CPU and memory with new parts
(the same ones) and when I go to power it up nothing happens, no CPU
fan, no Post, NOTHING. Have checked the PSU (420 watt) and it is
good, tryed different vid card still nothing. Any Ideas???????

Thanks Troy

A long shot, but check that the wall outlet you are plugging it into has the
proper voltage and 'polarity' and that it is grounded.
The other thing is to make sure that the voltage selector switch on the PSU is
set properly.
Try the mb outside of the case to make sure it is not grounding to the case.

Buffalo's right, try the mobo outside the case, and try another
outlet, if nothing is working still then I'd say that tree shorted
the board and you may need a new one.

Thanks for the advice, figured out my PSU was toast, went and bought a
new 430 watt and still nothing. Looks like I RMA both the MoBo and
CPU. Hope the next ons work.

Went and got another new mobo and had them test it with my cpu, tested
fine. 😀 Got home and put it together -- Nothing-- Turned out that
my case pwr switch was bad, replaced and it works fine now except for
one little problem STOP errors

STOP: 0x000000A5
ACPI Bios not fully compatible with ACPI specs

Any Help on how to ger around this without flashing my Bios.
Winn 2000

Everything worked until now and I am still using the same parts as
before

Thanks Troy

What! A wrong bios in a new mobo!?
There are no other parts in youw comp with their own bios that could
be defect? Perhaps some i/o-card or do you use scuzi with own bios?

Flashing the bios of your mobo would mean the loss of your guarantie.

If nothing helps you could choose not to use acpi (by disabling is in
the bios) but I should say: find the defectuous bios and replace it.
