I recently changed my ISP and my new modem/router doesn't have coax connection. The old one did and I used that to set up a moca connection to my office computer. Coax is all I have right now, it's an older home with no ethernet cable run anywhere. When I first bought the house the ISP ran a cable from my router to a wireless device (I think it was some kind of booster, it was a few years ago, I don't really remember) which is where my gaming pc is now connected. That connection is still good.
My old setup was:
-Filter on the incoming line connected to a splitter
-One connection from the splitter went to the modem/router
-The other connection went to my office
-Cable from the wall port in the office to a Motorola moca adapter
-Ethernet from the adapter to the pc
Everything worked fine, with the exception of the odd little bug here and there.
My new equipment doesn't have a coax connection so I've picked up a second moca adapter.
New setup is:
-Ethernet from router to moca adapter
-Coax out of the adapter connected to the office coax cable
-Cable from the wall port in the office to a Motorola moca adapter
-Ethernet from the adapter to the pc
This setup doesn't give me an internet connection. All the lights that are supposed to be on are, and they're all green. All I get for the network connection on the pc is "Unidentified network No Internet access"
This is the first adapter I bought (though it is the 2.5gbps version):

This is the second one:

The Motorola one is in the office connected to the pc, and the gocoax one is connected to the router.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears. I've tried swapping cables, restarting the devices and my pc. Everything seems like it should be working, it just isn't for some reason.
