Hey there guys, I looked around for a solution to this unusual problem but to no avail.
I have a LA19R71BX samsung monitor and just downloaded a game (Star Wars the Old Republic) for my nephew. Problem is once I downloaded everything and clicked play, my screen goes black and now says 'mode not supported'... I now can't use my PC as I cannot see what is happening. I think the PC is fine as the theme tune started playing, and I could alt-tab to his minecraft game. I thought if I could close the game I would return to the desktop but it went back to the black screen. Now I decided to turn my computer off and then on again, screen showed it loading (Win 7 btw) the logos forming and now it went back to the black screen :/
I tried safe mode, it worked! But now there are no drivers and I can't connect to the internet...

This problem is seriously confusing that I'm literally pulling my hair out... also sad the my nephew can't play games on the pc no more...

Well VGA, but I also tried HDMI and it is still not working. My specs are:

  • Pentium Dual Core @ 3Ghz
    8GB RAM
AMD HD Radeon 6800 Series (From the top of my head I do not know which one specifically)
    500GB HDD (WD Black)
    Win 7

I can't see what I am doing, that's the problem. Game or no game, it refuses to show the desktop once everything has loaded

When I turn the computer on and it loads up (after the logo of Win7 is finished), the screen goes black... I can't see anything. So i can't open the game cause, well... I can't see what I'm doing.

Hmmm I did that, same results :/

Is there something wrong with the drivers? Are there even drivers a monitor and computer?
