Modem + Router Combonation

Hi,
I am having problems with my internet and I came to wonder if the Combonation of my router and modem could be the problem.
When ever someone streams in my house it is very hard to use other devices.

Specs:
Router - Netgeat Nightyawk X45 AC260
Modem - Qwest Q1000

What kind of problems are you having, just poor results on other machines while one is streaming? Is this true even if the streamer is on 5GHz and the others connect on 2.4GHz?

It is unlikely that it is a combination of the two devices, but either could have issues on their own.

However, it is more likely that the streamer is using enough bandwidth to affect other users, particularly gamers by creating higher latency on the radio used. Often the best course is to place the streamer on a bandwidth separate from others.
