Modes in the ASUS application for my GTX 1060

So as you know if you get the ASUS Strix, it comes with the app to change modes, OC (overclock), Gaming and Silent. I set mine as OC, and left it that that, is it safe to leave it at this mode? (I didnt make any manual changes in the professional mode, just used the preset OC mode that asus had for me)

Yes it is safe. Note that the card will use higher clocks only when needed, and will lower them when idle, so you don't have to worry it will shorten the lifespan of your card.
