Molex y spliter burns while gaming

I am using frontech JIL 2426(700W) PSU and msi GTX 560ti.
Psu has 1 6 pin connector but 560 ti requires 2 6 pins.So I had to buy a 6 pin connector.
I have a cheap molex y splitter for a cooling fan cooling fan.It is connected to the 6 pin connector.
I saw that the molex cable heats up during heavy gaming.Please say any tip

You are overloading the MOLEX plug. The 6 pin PCIe adapter is supposed to be connected to two unique MOLEX connectors, not a "Y" plug. If your power supply does not have sufficient connectors, you need a new power supply.

I am using that molex only to run the 12v side fan.....so If i connect psu molex to the 6 pin,will it fine sir?

I think the good 6 pin adapters use two MOLEX as input to avoid the problem you are having -- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812423173

If you take the splitter out you might not have a problem or you still may. The dual input adapter I show is a better answer.
