Hello,

So i have a Philips Evnia 5000 27M1N5500ZA as my primary monitor, it's specs are:
IPS display
170hz
2560x1440
10-bit
27"

I also have an LG 65C98LB OLED TV which has 4k resolution, and supports up to 120hz.

MOBO: MSI B450M PRO-VDH Plus, AMD B450
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600x
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX2070S 8GB, Palit JS

Im using mostly my Philips primary monitor via a display port cable (which came with it), but sometimes i use the LG OLED, via a HDMI 2.1 cable (from amazon), when i have friends over. Since then I have been experiencing some complications from the start, i now have a certain way how i set it up: i turn my computer off, unplug the DP cable which connects the primary Monitor to the PC. Then i plug in the HDMI 2.1 cable, which connects the OLED TV to the PC. Then i turn on the PC, and it works fine.

The problem: since a few days ago, when i go back to my primary monitor (same procedure, but in reverse), it acts really weird. Sometimes it says "NO INPUT", and when i finally manage to recognize the input, it only allows for 60hz refresh rate. Then i have to unplug-replug it a few times, until finally 170 hz works again.

EDIT: now i actually cant get the main monitor to work at all after using the OLED once more. It just says "No Video Input" even if i unplug the display port cable and replug it into a different port (my GPU has 2 DP ports, and the monitor aswell, ive tried all combinations).

What is the make and model of your GPU? You might want to use DDU to remove all GPU drivers(Intel, AMD and Nvidia) and manually install the latest driver in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator, assuming you're on Windows OS, in which case we'll need to know the OS's version as well.

My GPU is a Nvidia GeForce RTX2070S 8GB, Palit JS and yes, im running on Windows 10.

Ok so now ive used DDU , and cleanly installed the newest Driver for my GPU. Hasnt worked. Instead, it got worse: now i cant seem to get my Monitor to work again at all, also, it started to do turn black for a few seconds, and when it comes back it turn back to black instantly.

Could i have damaged the display ports from the few unplugging/repluggings that i did (10-20 times)?

Or could the DP cable itself be damaged?
