Monitor and graphics card problem.

Okay, So I've tried reddit and now I'm here, I'm not totally sure whats going on with my computer but whenever I plug my graphics card in my monitor doesnt work. I'm using a VGA connecteed to the back of my Motherboard. I've tried using a HDMI in the back of my graphics card but still no help. I've taken everything apart put it back together and still no help. I can hear the system boot up all the way but I'm just not reciving any pictures.

Processor- fx 6300
GPU - Gigabyte geforce 750 ti windforce
PSU- Rosewill 550w Power supply
MOBO - MSI 760gm-p23
SSD and HD are included with three fans.

check in your bios for video settings so that it auto detects a videocard in the slot or the onboard video. if no auto then select pcix-e 16 slot not igp(onboard video).
