Hi,
whenever I play any newer game after some time, usually between 10 and 30 minutes game time, my monitor shuts down. I can hear the music and game going on in the background for a minute or two after that, and then the entire PC is stuck. I can't restart, I have to turn off PC, wait for a few minutes and turn it back on. When it starts up again I hear the GPU fan going crazy for 5-6 seconds.
Other forums suggested that it might be PSU.
However, my friend told me that it's not physically possible that my PC takes up more than 700W. PSU is
MWE 700 WHITE 230V - V2.
I'm running everything with MSI Afterburner, where I played around with fan speed curve, and power limit. No matter the settings, it didn't solve the problem.
I switched off hardware acceleration on chrome.
I updated the drivers but that didn't help. I also tried few of the previous drivers for it, but still the same. My GPU passed Heaven Benchmark without crashing.
If it's not PSU, what else could it be? It does seem odd that my PC takes more than 700W. But even if that happened, shouldn't entire PC shut down, and not only GPU?
