[SOLVED] Monitor audio issues after GPU upgrade

This is a really weird issue for me and any help is greatly appreciated! It began after upgrading from a GTX 960 to a GTX 1660, around a week ago.

The audio from both of my monitors (connected to GPU via HDMI and DVI) stops working after the PC goes into sleep mode or has been on for a prolonged period of time (around an hour).

• Restarting my PC fixes this issue temporarily.
• The audio from my headset (USB) works perfectly all the time.
• I've uninstalled old GPU drivers.

Mate I'm no expert here but I'm going through audio problems aswell. I would turn the sleep mode off.

Maybe have a look into your power settings and adjust to a mode that doesbt skimp on power and if that fails look into if your audio services are still running when the problem occurs. Good luck

If your monitors have speakers, is there an audio in port? Why not just use a 3.5mm into the monitor from the mobo?
