Hey guys so i recently bought a pc and it turns on fine but no image is shown. Monitor works, hdmi to vga adapter works. But no image still. Ive taken it to the company i bought it from and they tested it and said it worked and it showed image. Now my biggest concern is my monitor might not be compatible.
Its a HP Pavilion w1907 with a vga and dvi port only, therefore i had to buy an adapter so that i could connect it to my graphics card.
My pc specs are
Ryzen 5 2600
gtx 1060 3gb
8gbs of ram
Sentey xcp630w
motherboard: asrock A320M-HDV Ddr4

Solution
are u connecting it to gpu and not to mainboard? vga/dvi only sounds fishy for gtx 1060

do not connect those vga/dvi ports, they will never work wih your current CPU

connect youur monitor to any of those ports

Yeah it does, i tried connecting it that way as well and it didnt work. When i asked what the problem was to the company they said it worked by connecting via hdmi. So i tried that, still nothing.

Does the monitor display "No Signal" when you start?

Yeah ive connected it to my gpu not my motherboard. Still nothing. Is there such thing as a non compatible monitor? Its my biggest concern right now, but i dont have a different monitor to test it on. A more NEWISH monitor. I cant think of the word, just an updated one for 2019. As i said my current monitor is the HP Pavilion w1907.
I even went as far as to remove my graphics card and plug my monitor into my motherboard but still nothing shows. Through vga and hdmi. Got no response. Is my Ryzen 5 2600 in need of a more upgraded monitor? I really have no clue.

Its sleeping, as if it were turned off. Its clearly plugged and working because it shows an orange light that signals its connected and ready for use. Been using it for years now. Still nothing, just reacts at times if i plug it through vga to Check Video Signal. thats about it, then it goes back to sleeping.
