[SOLVED] Monitor display adapter question...

I found a Dell S2719DC monitor at a great price and I'm thinking about buying it. The Dell S2719DC only comes with a USB Type-C cable. If I wanted to connect this monitor to my HP compaq pro 6300 Desktop computer what type of adapter would I need?

Here's the Dell S2719DC ports...

1x USB Type-C (supports up to 45W PD)
1x HDM 2.0
1x USB 3.0 (downstream, supports up to 7.5W BC)
1x USB 3.0 (downstream)
1x Analog 2.0 Audio Line-Out (3.5mm jack)

HP compaq pro 6300 have a displayport. get a hdmi to dp adapter/cable.

The Dell S2719DC monitors resolution is 2560 x 1440 at 60Hz. Will a hdmi to dp adapter affect the resolution?

You will need a type 2 adapter or an active adapter. Type 1 will be limited to 1080p 60 Hz.
