Question Monitor Display Problems

Okay, so I just build my first pc and turned it on for the first time. The RGB lights on my ram/coolers/fans/graphics card are light up. Good sign right? I proceed to connect my HDMI cable from my GPU to my Viewsonic XG2405 monitor and this is where my problem starts. The monitor spits out NO SIGNAL. PLZ HELP ME

Gigabyte Arous Elite Wifi MoBo
G.SKILL RBGTrident 4 x 8 GB DDR4
Corsair PSU 750W 80+ Gold
Corsair 4000D Airflow Case
Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700XT
