Starting last week, sometimes when I turn on my PC my monitor comes on with half display/half black screen. All I have to do to fix it is simply turn off/on my monitor and it goes back to normal and I have not had it just come back randomly as I was playing games or anything. I've noticed that if I leave and let my Screensaver come on that sometimes it will happen again.

So it seems like its a monitor issue since it fixes itself from turning it on/off, doesn't seem like a PC issue. Has anyone heard of this issue before? I've searched on Google and can't get a definitive answer so I decided to ask here. I thought it was possibly a video driver issue since it began shortly after an update but since than a new driver update came out and it's still happening with the new driver. Any help would be appreciated.

The monitor is an Acer xf270h b and its only about a year old btw.

Some time ago, I had a graphics card that was defective in a similar manner, so it is possibly a graphics card going bad.

But, since your problem is connected to a driver issue,
Reinstall the driver that worked for you before.
I am surprised that the driver would give such symptoms.
Please include your system's specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Case:
OS:

if you're on Windows 10, include the version for the OS. Have you tried using DDU to uninstall your GPU drivers? Reinstall your GPU drivers after sourcing them from your manufacturer's support site. Once downloaded, manually install the drivers in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator/

I'll try a clean install of my drivers first and see what happens. Its just weird because all I do is turn off monitor and turn it back on and it goes away. Seems like its a monitor issue more than a PC issue because I'm not restartimg my pc or anything to fix it.
