Monitor DisplayPort Inactive

First, my problem is that my Omen monitor keeps saying "DisplayPort inactive," along with HDMI 1 and 2. I've used both cables, both ports, being the one on the gpu and mobo, but nothing works. My pc is powered, everything has power. If my specs are necessary: gpu is gtx 1060, cpu i7 6700, mobo is msi Z270 m5, 2x4 ram. I used the cables that came with the monitor.

And to be a bit more precise, the last pop-up say "Input Signal Not Found. Check the video cable and video source. Display going to sleep."

Edit: I've watched a few videos all saying the same thing, to power everything off and unplug the monitor, wait, and plug it back in and turn it on. Didn't work.

Well...guess it was as simple as a factory reset, even though I just started using it. That's two hours of my life gone.
