Monitor flickering until i change refresh rate

everytime i turn my pc on i get black horizental flickering for like 10 minutes maybe .. it happens even more if i scroll .. i noticed if i change the refresh rate from 144 hz to something else and then changing it back the flickering goes away .. what's the cause of this ?

btw the flickering only happens for like 10 mins after i turn on the pc and then goes away anyways ..

GPU : msi gtx 1070
monitor : rog pg278q

does anyone know if its normal for this monitor to flicker for a while when its turned on ?

It is not normal, but I'm also having a similar issue, albeit with a 60hz monitor and changing the refresh rate only stops it for a little bit.
