Monitor for PC, PS4, PS3?

Hey everyone, this is my first post but I've been browsing the forums for awhile now. I know this is probably the best place to seek advice for the plans I have. I plan on building my first gaming rig soon and I want to be able to use the same monitor I choose for my PS3 and PS4. I'm mainly looking for a 24-27 inch 1080p led display; prefer 27. I just need some suggestions. I don't plan on using anything higher than a gtx 770 in my build if that helps. Something that I could hook up a desktop speaker system to would be preferred too so I could use it for all 3 devices if I can. I'm a rookie at this build stuff so bear with me, thanks.

Am I just better off sticking with my 39in LED TV for my console gaming? I only really considered a 27in monitor so I can hook up my consoles to it and have a slightly larger screen than the preferred 24in for PC gaming. You know, so I can lean back in the chair a bit with a controller. I'd have no problem with a 24in for PC gaming

Honestly, you can lean back in the chair just fine with a 24" monitor. The difference isn't going to be worth making the PC visuals crappier - at least not to me.

And since you already have the TV, I would leave the consoles the way they are.

Well we will see if 3 inches makes that much of a difference. Got the 27 being shipped and I'm looking at a 24 right now. Both monitors will work with separate computers across from each other so I can look at one then look at the other when it gets here.

Haha, sounds like an interesting comparison.

Make sure you do it while running a comparatively decent-looking game; that's when it's going to be the most striking.

Just wanted to say thanks for everyone's input. I was hoping to get convinced that a 27 inch at 1080p would be a good idea for the pc too but I kind of knew I'd be pushing it. Gonna get the 24. Thanks again.
