I'm having a problem with monitor ghosting on my computer. I was messing around with the cables on my computer because I noticed a little stuttering. I was using a Asus VG248QE with a Dual-Link DVI cable into it at 144hz, and that was fine. But when I switched to 60hz, I noticed very visible ghosting. I've switched like this many times before, and it just started happening now. Please help!

Hello,

That's because on a 60 Hz panel, regardless what the response time might be, you're going to see the same amount of ghosting on a 5 ms panel, and a 1 ms panel. The difference is that it's limited to update every 16.67 ms at 60 Hz, and 6.9 ms at 144 Hz, this is what's getting rid of the visible ghosting on the higher refresh rate. A 60 Hz panel can only do so much.

All the best!

So I can only play on 144hz? Not that I really care, I like 144hz over 60 anyways.

OK, thanks for the help!
