Hi.

I bought Ghost of Tsushima a few days ago and was messing around a bit with the graphics settings (putting many settings on very high). Out of nowhere when playing the screen went black and the little window in the middle of the screen telling me there's no input and monitor shutting off popped up before everything going black. I can hear music from the game still going but clicking my mouse or hitting a keyboard key doesn't do anything to bring it back. I've had to hard shut down a few times now. I may have fixed the issue the other day by just keeping it on ''high'' and not doing anything else to customize the settings. Last time I tried to do a bit of tweaking on high I got a black screen again. So I left it alone on just basic high setting format and everything was fine. But I noticed that I had the black screen one time after tapping on my desk (maybe a little too hard) so the vibrations may have done something to the GPU. I never had this issue before. Could it have something to do with trying to remove the GPU? A few weeks ago I tried to take the GPU out because I thought the second M.2 slot was right under the GPU slot. It wasn't. I tried pushing in the GPU latch on the motherboard but it seemed stuck and I thought that maybe the GPU would come out so I tried pulling on it a bit and shaking it a little but it wouldn't come out so it seems like it's stuck in there. I then screwed everything back and put the glass back on the case but whenever the GPU had to work itself for whatever reason it made a constant high pitched mechanical sound which I believe was probably coil whine. A friend told me the GPU was actually slanted down a bit which I didn't realize so I re-adjusted it and the noise disappeared after that. So the noise is gone but I get the black screen sometimes.

What could be causing this? Is the GPU failing now? Is it a connection issue between the GPU and the monitor?

Name your exact PC specs, along with a exact name of your PSU.
Could be the videocables tbh (hdmi/displayport or whatever ur using), try swapping them with new ones.
Or potentially ur GPU just draws too much power and 'shut down' to prevent itself from dying as the PSU cannot provide constant and stable power output.
