Hi,

I have had this issue for years now: my monitor will go black for a split second and then go back to normal. This can occur in minutes or sometimes hours. I'm not sure what the issue is as I have switched GPUs in the past, but this issue persists with the monitor.

These are my relevant specs:

Operating System
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
CPU
AMD Ryzen 5 3600
RAM
16,0GB Single-Channel DDR4 @ 1330MHz (20-19-19-43)
Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. A320M-H-CF (AM4)
Graphics
HP 24y (1920x1080@60Hz)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB (MSI)

My desktop settings does have 60hz selected which is the max one.

Make and model monitor? Does the problem occur with other monitors or if the current monitor is used with another system?

PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used)?

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

List of all connected peripherals.

Any power or screen savers running?

Power down, unplug, open the case.

Clean out dust and debris.

Verify by sight and feel that all cards, connectors, RAM, jumpers, and case connections are fully and firmly in place.

Look in Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer for any error codes, warnings, or even informational events being logged just before or at the times the monitor screen goes black.
