monitor goes off then 1 second turns back again

Hi i purchase a hdmi to vga active adapter to my new GTX 1050ti because my monitor only supports VGA only
after playing for hours i notice the random events where my monitor suddenly goes off then turns back again

PC SPEC:
i3-6100
msi h110m pro-vh plus
corsair vs550
my monitor is ASUS VS208
my adapter is also hot

should i replace my adapter? to be honest i dont even know if it's real active i assume it's active coz my monitor displaying something
