monitor going black when bumping desk

if i bump my desk ever so slightley, my monitor goes black and i have to force restart my pc to get it on again. all my cables are plugged in correctly. any ideas?

Check the power cord again, take it out, look inside the holes and make sure nothing is blocking it.
