My monitor is connected by via cable to pc but message still displays no signal, vga recommended

Not all monitors automatically switch inputs to the active one.

Hi, I have no idea. It's got blue ended vga cable connecting monitor to pc but message still displays no signal vga recommended. I think it's possibly the pc,

Where is it connected to on the PC?
What are your PC's specs (Make&model#'s of the parts)?
