[SOLVED] Monitor is not getting signal while using a DVI to HDMI cable.

HI,
I have a monitor with 1 HDMI port and 1 DVI-D port. I used to connect my monitor to the PC using a DVI to HDMI cable and my ps4 to the same monitor with a normal HDMI cable. But the solution suddenly stopped working, I don't know why.

Now the problem is while I am using that DVI to HDMI cable to connect my monitor to my PC, there is no signal. But If I connect the monitor to PC with a normal HDMI cable it works fine, and after my system booted to the window screen if I unplug HDMI and plug the same DVI to HDMI cable, the cable works. Cable is fine I checked with a new one, just in case. Can anyone help me solve the problem?

its likely your dvi to hdmi cable stopped working. Many of the cheaper converters die in a short period of time.
