Hi! I'm using Windows 2000 running a Matrox G450 video card with updated driver for everything, monitor, motherboard, vid adapter. My problem is that everytime I switch to a certain resolution like 1024 x 768 or in DOS, the entire monitor screen jumps repeatedly in a verticle loop. I tried to change all sort of refresh rate but it doesn't work. (Again, the screen is not flickering, it goes in a fast verticle loop) The only resolution it can work is at 640 x 480, 800 x 600 and 1280 x 1024, 1600x1200.Is there any way to fix this problem? I've been searching to find the answer but no body seems to know. I posted it on Dell msg board and everybody receive like 3 replies and mine receive 0 🙁
And another question, on the specification page for 1600hs monitor http://docs.us.dell.com/docs/monitors/55347/specs.htm#resolution, it is stated that this monitor can goes up to 1600x1200 at 85HZ. But in my display properties, it can only let me go up to 75hertz, but if i uncheck the "modes that this monitor cannot display, it can go up to 85hertz.So I'm just wondering which is one of these is correct, my computer driver or dell's offical specification information?
