Hi!

I recently upgraded my PC with new MOBO and CPU, but after the upgrade I wont get signal to my monitor. The screen detects when I plug the wire to the port but still gets no signal. I've tried with and without graphic card also. Every component seems to work correctly though...
I have tested ;
-clearing CMOS by removing battery and connecting CLR_CMOS pins
-switching RAM place to every socket (first had all 4 RAM connected now just 1)
-removed everything from MOBO (exept PSU, CPU, 1RAM stick)
-reattached CPU again (also checked for folden pins)
-and something also but cant remember all of the tricks I've tried.

Old CPU & MOBO: FX-8120 , Asus M5A78L/USB3

New PC specs:
MOBO: Gigabyte Z170-HD3 DDR3
CPU: Intel i5-7600k
GPU: Asus GTX 670
RAM: Kingston & Samsung DDR3 (16GB)
SSD: Kingston 240gb
HDD: Seagate 1TB
PSU: Cooler Master GX Bronze 650W
Case: Antec Three Hundred

Any help is appreciated!! Thanks!

Solution
something you can not solve on your own.

you need to flash the bios with a skylake cpu( 6th gen).

best solution is to take your pc to a store and ask them to flash the bios for u , microstore for instance this can cost 25 dollars+-

to be honest I recommand you to get rid of the mobo and ram , this will cause problems in the future, you wont be the first with ddr3 issues with a "newer gen cpu".

Well since it's just bought MOBO I will deal with the problems because I have no money to put on new MOBO and DDR4 memory. Thanks for answer I will try today this tip!

Thanks for help! I borrowed my friends CPU (6th gen) and flashed bios on my own. Saved about 40€ by doing it by myself. Should've asked this yesterday 😉! Thanks @superninja12
