So I just started to build my new gaming PC and there is no display on the monitor. When i turn my PC on, all the lights come on correctly besides the power LED and the HDD LED turns off after startup. GPU Lights up, I am praying to god the mobo isnt broken or anything, but the little Audio Boost LED on the mobo powers up. Using a VGA cable, says "no signal" when i try to turn monitor on.
Specs:
Intel i5-4690k
MSI Z97 Gaming 5
MSI GTX 960 4GB
Asus - DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer
Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
RAM: Team - Dark 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Cooler - Cryorig H7 (Fan broke off on 1 side because I accidentally dropped it 🙁 but fan turns on.)
Corsair - Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Also im not sure where to plug in the speaker that it came with. I plugged it in where i thought it should be, placed it both ways and heard no beeps as i booted everything up.

I've been working since about 3:00 took me 4 hours to put together.

So...
1/ plug the monitor in the MB to verify it works.
2/ reseat the GPU and verify all power connections are properly made
3/ the little speaker plugs into some pins normally located near the bottom right corner near the audio headers

Plugged it in, makes no sounds on startup

The speaker that comes with the mb. it's supposed to beep if there's an error i think. Monitor plugged in the mb, orange light comes on meaning that the monitor is asleep. GPU is properly seated into the mb

I don't think this is the issue but on one of my SATA data cables, this side right here is plugged into the HDD:

i dont think this should have anything to do with the monitor though.

Ok, the speaker on the MB should beep once if everything is OK, it should beep repeatedly/play a different sound when everything is not OK. The orange light (monitor asleep) is interesting. While connected, what happens if you switch off, then on, the monitor, does it say "no connection" or similar?

It doesn't beep at all. When i try to turn it on, it runs something like a test to see if its connecting to the vga slot. It says no connection when i turn it off then on. I'm thinking of trying to take out the gpu and just use onboard graphics to see if that works. Also checked that it cant be plugged into the graphics card either.

no no, its plugged into the mb. I was going to try to plug it into the card but i cant.
