Monitor not getting any signal

My computer suddenly turned off and was making a beeping sound, I switched the power cord around and that fixed it but now my monitor says no input signal for both VGA and DVI inputs
Please explain in small words, I'm not very tech savvy

Sudden power shutdowns on a computer usually indicate either power problems (power supply) or heat related problems (fans not spinning). A visual inspection while the power is on to see if all fans are spinning would be the first thing to do (you should have fans on the CPU, your video card, in the power supply and possibly a few on the case) - if the fans aren't spinning - your system will overheat.

check if any heat is being generated from components. Is there any sign of your system Posting? (starting up).

My fan usually is extremely loud

Fans extremely loud usually indicate that the bearings are worn out on that fan - this would mean that you are not cooling the components and your shutdowns are from heat related issues. Do you know which fan(s) are making the loud noises?
