Hello everyone,
I'm stuck with a little issue and I can't seem to figure out what exactly it is.
Before we begin some of the specs you might need to know about.
Graphics Card - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
Memory 4.096 MB
Core clock 1.114 MHz
Memory bus clock 1.753 MHz
Driver version 21.21.13.7254
Processor - Intel Core i7-950 Processor
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.
600 watt crosshair PSU
My problem is quite a tricky one, or at least it is for me.
When I put my system under a little bit of pressure, doesn't have to be a lot. At a certain point my monitor one fails to detect the GPU and a second later it is back on. The longer I play the more frequent this becomes. My second monitor which is connected to the same GPU does just fine and has no problem.
Things I tried.
I tried switching the cable from DVI cable in the middle of when it was happening. And the same stuff happened to the HDMI cable, but even more frequent than with the DVI. Even when the heavy program was shut down while having the HDMI cable it kept turning on and off.
Sometimes I can play for hours, but lately with the heat the problems have returned.
Things it might be are:
PSU
GPU
CPU
Monitor
In theory it could be that my monitor gets to hot.
The GPU remains at a steady 50-60degrees, the fan turns on. But if it is only one of the two screens connected to the GPU that is experiencing it. I do not know.
CPU remains cool.
PSU might not be able to deliver enough power?
Anyone any idea?
Hope to see some posts soon !
Greetings,
Rob
