Hello all,
For a while now I've had a GTX 770 and an AOC IPS Monitor capable of 60Hz. The bizarre thing is, while the graphics card is easily reaching 60fps, there are still noticeable screen tears. So, I decided to overclock my monitor and see if this would help.
It reached 75Hz working, though I've lowered it a bit to 72 just to be safe. Now I can't notice any screen tearing, but since I'm using HDMI as my input to the monitor I was wondering if this is just a placebo effect because I read somewhere that HDMI is only capable of 1080p at 60fps .
If so, is there a genuine solution?
Thanks in advance
